About the artwork
Thorned Bloom begins with a real Septarian specimen, also called Dragon Stone, from our crystal inventory. The mineral is the starting point, not a generic decorative motif. In the illustration, a golden, fissured stone form becomes the heart of a botanical composition: crimson roses rise above it while dark thorned branches trace and surround its surface. The contrast brings together the enduring character of stone and the delicate intensity of flowers. The roses and thorns are Kreateur's artistic transformation, not natural features of the specimen.
